Mount Gay Mai Tai Cocktail

A well-known cocktail invented in California in 1944. Nowadays there are many variations of this famous cocktail, but this recipe, like the main ingredient of Mount Gay Rum, is the original.

Ingredients

  • 30ml Mount Gay Rum Eclipse
  • 30ml Mount Gay Rum Extra Old
  • 10ml Cointreau
  • 5ml Disaronno
  • 30ml Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 10ml Sugar Syrup

Method

  • Add all ingredients to a boston shaker and fill with ice
  • Shake well and strain into a chilled, ice filled old fashioned glass
  • Garnish with the Lime shell and a sprig of mint
